Cowboy Dirge
Two stanzas
There were three men that buried the forth,
The mold in his mouth and the dust in his eyes,
And then they went South and East and North
The strong man lives but the sick man dies.
There were three men that spoke of the dead,
The strong man lives but the sick man dies.
Ah, how we are, that he was with us now, they said,
The sun in his face and the wind in his eyes.
