A Confession and Prayer
Shall these words be read A hundred years from now? What then shall be said Of he who wrote them now? There is naught to say, Save that he was a man. Often led astray, A weak and sinful man. Let then those who make His work a mighty god. Know that such things break Before the might of God. Let all those who seek To name him worse than slime. Know their curses weak, He was a curse on slime. Let then those who see In his work some good. Find the truth and flee Unto the only Good. Let in those who read These words upon the page, God plant a good seed And joy their ending page. Lest all those who treat These words as naught but dust Find, their end to meet, That they are also dust.
God bless.
